Teaching Assistant
Location: Totton
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a motivated Teaching Assistant to support a friendly and inclusive primary school in Totton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for helping students achieve their best.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate with teachers to offer focused support to students, especially those who need extra guidance to succeed. Your role will be key in promoting a positive and engaging learning environment for children.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored one-on-one and small group assistance to students, addressing their individual learning needs.
- Assist teachers with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons that captivate students' interests.
- Encourage a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom where all students feel welcome and valued.
- Supervise students during break times and extracurricular activities, fostering social skills and teamwork.
- Track student progress and provide feedback to teachers to support ongoing development and improvement.
The successful candidate will:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is preferred, but not essential.
- A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and contributing positively to their education.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for one.
