Teaching Assistant
Location: Hedge End
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming primary school in Hedge End. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students in their academic journey.
Job Summary: As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide additional assistance to students, particularly those who may need extra help to reach their full potential. You will play a vital role in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment, helping students develop both academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group assistance to students, addressing their unique learning needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and tailored lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Help foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and respected.
- Supervise and support students during break times and extracurricular activities to encourage social interaction and teamwork.
- Monitor student progress and report findings, offering constructive feedback to teachers to aid in student development.
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (preferred but not essential).
- Be passionate about working with children and supporting their educational development.
- Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
