SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you passionate about supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? Do you have experience working with SEND/SEMH children? If so, GSL Education Lincon have an exciting opportunity for you to join a supportive school in Lincoln as an SEMH Teaching Assistant!

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students overcome challenges and thrive in their learning. This is a rewarding position where you can make a real difference in children’s lives.

Responsibilities of an SEMH Teaching Assistant:

  • Support students with SEMH needs on a one-to-one or group basis.
  • Assist the class teacher with creating a positive learning environment.
  • Help manage challenging behaviour and promote emotional well-being.
  • Work closely with other staff to develop individual support plans.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.

Requirements for an SEMH Teaching Assistant:

  • SEND/SEMH experience is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for supporting children with special needs.
