Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Sleaford
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help students with Special Educational Needs and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons for SEND and SEMH students.
  • Provide 1:1 support to students, helping them with learning and social development.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and create a supportive classroom environment.
  • Help students engage in activities and promote their confidence and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff to meet the needs of each student.

To be a successful Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you need:

  • Previous experience as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant or similar role.
  • Experience working with SEND and SEMH students.
  • A caring, patient, and understanding attitude towards children with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or education.
