Teaching Assistant
Location: Grantham
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 Per Day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education Lincoln are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Grantham. If you have experience working with SEND or SEMH students, this role is perfect for you!
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to students, helping them to reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills and be part of a dynamic team.
Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
- Support students with SEND and SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom.
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities that engage all students.
- Work 1:1 or in small groups to provide tailored support.
- Help manage challenging behaviours in a positive and constructive manner.
- Encourage and motivate students to achieve their best academically and socially.
- Assist with personal care needs when required.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant working with SEND or SEMH students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
- A commitment to supporting the holistic development of students.
