Full-Time Teaching Assistant Needed
Location: Christchurch
Hourly rate: £12.82 per hour
GSL Education Bournemouth are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Christchurch. This role focuses on providing help to students with SEN needs, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to succeed. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for managing behaviour and offering direct support to students who are struggling.
In this full-time Teaching Assistant role, you will work closely with the class teacher, supporting students with their academic and emotional development. The Teaching Assistant will play a key role in helping students stay on track and managing behaviour challenges within the classroom.
Teaching Assistant responsibilities include:
- Supporting students with SEN and assisting those who are finding it difficult to stay engaged in lessons.
- Helping students who are struggling academically and emotionally, providing one-on-one assistance when necessary.
- Assisting with behaviour management and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
- Working closely with the class teacher to implement effective strategies.
The ideal full-time Teaching Assistant will:
- Have previous experience working with children, especially those with SEN.
- Be skilled in behaviour management and have a passion for helping students succeed.
- Be dedicated, supportive, and committed to making a difference in a primary school setting.
To work with GSL Education, you must:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
