Full-Time Teaching Assistant Needed
Location: Bournemouth
Hourly rate: £12.82 per hour
GSL Education Bournemouth are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Bournemouth. This role involves providing essential support to students with SEN needs, ensuring they receive the help they need to thrive in their educational journey. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in managing behaviour and supporting children who need extra attention.
The full-time Teaching Assistant will be responsible for assisting students in their day-to-day activities, helping them stay engaged and on task. In this Teaching Assistant role, you will also be involved in creating a positive learning environment and assisting with behaviour management strategies to support both students and teachers.
Teaching Assistant responsibilities include:
- Supporting students with SEN and helping them overcome learning barriers.
- Assisting the class teacher in managing behaviour and classroom activities.
- Providing one-on-one support to children who are struggling academically or emotionally.
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping maintain an inclusive learning space.
The ideal full-time Teaching Assistant will:
- Have experience working with children, ideally with SEN experience.
- Be skilled in managing behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.
- Be patient, caring, and enthusiastic about working in a primary school setting.
To work with GSL Education, you must:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
