The Role:
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Supply Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Bournemouth. This is an excellent opportunity for the qualified teachers (QTS), trainees and people who have experience in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

As a Supply Teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of education and providing a positive learning environment for students.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement stimulating lessons that encourage active participation from year 5-11 students.
  • Modify teaching strategies and activities to meet the individual learning needs of all students.
  • Foster a welcoming environment where every student feels safe to express themselves and engage in classroom activities.
  • Work closely with fellow educators to align lesson plans and share effective teaching practices for a cohesive learning experience.
  • Regularly assess student performance and offer constructive feedback to guide their academic and social development.
  • Follow the school’s commitment to safeguarding by ensuring a safe learning environment and maintaining professional interactions with students.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), be a trainee teacher, or have experience in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Prior experience as a Supply Teacher in primary schools is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrate a passion for teaching and a commitment to student development.
  • Have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, colleagues, and parents.

To work with GSL Education as a Supply Teacher, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
