Exciting Work Opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant in Bournemouth!

GSL Education Bournemouth Branch are seeking a passionate and supportive Learning Support Assistant to join a renowned and forward-thinking school in Bournemouth. This role involves working closely with children who need extra support in school, including those with special educational needs (SEN).

A Learning Support Assistant works closely with children in primary schools, providing targeted support to students who are struggling academically or socially, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN). They help manage behaviour and create a positive learning environment, ensuring each child can engage in school activities. With a patient and caring approach, they assist in fostering the growth and development of students, working closely with teachers to implement effective strategies.

Salary: £12.82 per hour
Start Date: Immediately or January 2025

  • Supporting students who are struggling academically, socially, or emotionally.

  • Working one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted support.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other school staff to develop effective learning strategies.
  • Ensuring that students are engaged and encouraged to participate fully in school activities.
  • Promote independence, encouraging students to take ownership of their learning journey.

To get a job as a Learning Support Assistant you need:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
