GSL Education Bournemouth Branch are seeking a passionate and supportive Learning Support Assistant to join a renowned and forward-thinking school in Bournemouth. This role involves working closely with children who need extra support in school, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
A Learning Support Assistant works closely with children in primary schools, providing targeted support to students who are struggling academically or socially, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN). They help manage behaviour and create a positive learning environment, ensuring each child can engage in school activities. With a patient and caring approach, they assist in fostering the growth and development of students, working closely with teachers to implement effective strategies.

Salary: £12.82 per hour

Essential Skills and Qualities that we are looking from you:
- Supporting students who are struggling academically, socially, or emotionally.
- Assisting in behaviour management and helping create a positive learning environment.
- Working one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted support.
- Collaborating with teachers and other school staff to develop effective learning strategies.
- Ensuring that students are engaged and encouraged to participate fully in school activities.
- Promote independence, encouraging students to take ownership of their learning journey.
To get a job as a Learning Support Assistant you need:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students.

- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Possess a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
