Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: Chesterfield

Salary: £170 - £195 per day

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you a passionate and qualified SEN Teacher dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs? GSL Education are  looking for an enthusiastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a supportive client school in Chesterfield. Job Summary: As an SEN Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering tailored education to students with a range of additional needs. You will work collaboratively with the teaching staff and support team to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique requirements of each student

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  • Create and adapt educational materials and resources to enhance learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other professionals to support student development.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievements and progress.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Wducation (PGCE) ,Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with experience in teaching students with SEN.
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently when necessary.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
