Role: Exam Invigilator
Location: Haringey
Salary: 12.82-14.93 per hour
Start Date: November 2024
Contract: Part-time, Full Time
We are currently seeking diligent and responsible Exam Invigilators to join our outstanding secondary school in Haringey. In this vital role, you will ensure that examinations are conducted fairly and in accordance with established protocols, contributing to a supportive and orderly environment for students during their assessments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during examinations, ensuring compliance with examination regulations and maintaining a quiet and focused atmosphere.
- Set up the examination room according to guidelines, including arranging desks, distributing exam papers, and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Conduct identity checks and ensure that all students adhere to exam rules, addressing any issues that may arise during the examination.
- Monitor the exam environment, remaining vigilant for any instances of academic dishonesty or irregularities.
- Provide assistance to students as needed, including clarifying instructions and addressing any concerns about the examination process.
- Record and report any incidents or irregularities to the relevant authorities promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of all examination materials and results, ensuring data protection regulations are followed.
- Assist with the collection and secure storage of completed exam papers and materials after the examination has concluded.
The successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate previous experience in a similar role or a strong understanding of examination processes.
- Hold a relevant qualification or certification in education or administration.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively and maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Be reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the exam schedule, including early mornings and potentially weekends.
- Show enthusiasm for supporting students in their educational journey.
