Family Support Worker

Location: Boston

Start Date: January 2025 or Sooner

Salary: £21,000 per annum (actual)

Part-Time (32 hours per week, 39 weeks per year)

GSL Education Lincolnshire is looking for an empathetic and skilled Family Support Worker to work in a secondary school in Boston. This part-time role is ideal for someone passionate about providing emotional and practical support to students and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students and their families.
  • Act as a liaison between school and home, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to ensure students and families receive the necessary support.
  • Offer guidance on issues such as attendance, emotional well-being, and behavioural concerns.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with families and students.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
