Teaching Assistant
Location: Waterlooville
Salary: £83.33 to £95 per day
Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education Southampton ,are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful school in Waterlooville. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners, while working in a supportive and friendly environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be a key part of the classroom team, providing essential support to both teachers and students. If you are patient, caring, and committed to helping children achieve their full potential, this could be the perfect role for you!
Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
- Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom.
- Provide 1:1 support or small group interventions to help students with their learning.
- Help prepare learning materials and resources.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage engagement in lessons.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's education and development.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from the class teacher.
- A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) is a bonus, but not essential.
- Availability to start as soon as possible.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
