Teaching Assistant

Salary Scale: £83.33 - £90.00 per day

GSL Education Lincoln are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools in Grantham. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young learners and are looking to further their career in education. Experience in assisting children in a school setting is highly desirable.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support classroom teachers in ensuring that students receive high-quality education, fostering a positive learning environment. Your role will involve working with students across a range of abilities, offering one-to-one and small group support.
Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
- Provide support to the classroom teacher in managing classroom behaviour and lesson delivery
- Assist with one-on-one or small group activities to enhance student learning
- Help to create a stimulating learning environment
- Monitor and assess students’ progress under the guidance of the teacher
Required Qualifications for a Teaching Assistant:
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within a school setting
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN)
- Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
- A valid DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
