Learning Support Assistant
Location: Havant
Salary: £83.33 to £95 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Are you passionate about helping young people succeed? GSL Education Southampton are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Havant.
As a Learning Support Assistant , you will play a key role in ensuring students with additional learning needs receive the support they need to thrive in the classroom.
Responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant:
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and supporting individual student needs.
- Provide one-to-one support for students with learning difficulties.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in school activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
Requirements for Learning Support Assistant:
- Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role (preferred).
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A flexible approach to working with students of varying abilities.
- A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in education.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
