Teaching Assistant
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £83.33 to £95 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Are you passionate about education and supporting young learners? GSL Education Southampton, are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives, working alongside experienced teachers to help students reach their full potential.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be providing essential support to both teachers and students, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
- Support the teacher in managing the classroom and preparing resources.
- Assist with one-on-one and small group learning activities.
- Help students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
- Contribute to creating a safe and inclusive learning space.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children or in a school environment is beneficial.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- A patient, caring attitude and a passion for education.
- Willingness to undertake training if necessary.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
