Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS)

GSL Education are currently partnering with an outstanding SEN school in Bournemouth who are looking for dedicated teachers to join their team from January. There is scope to start sooner too!

The school is serving a wide geographical area, dedicated to supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including MLD, SLD, PMLD etc. It emphasises on individualising education through bespoke curriculums and assessment pathways, focusing on core values. As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to students with a range of needs, including Moderate, Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed to ensure all students are making progress towards their goals.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience working with students with SEN preferred.
  • Knowledge of a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including MLD, SLD, and PMLD, and experience implementing strategies to support these needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude towards working with students with diverse needs.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and grow as an educator.
