Cover Supervisor
Location: Ashington
Salary: £95-£120 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Supply or Long-term
Are you passionate about education and looking for an opportunity to step into the classroom? GSL Education Newcastle are currently seeking a Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic school in Ashington.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting students and ensuring the smooth running of the school day. Whether you're looking for supply work or a long-term role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons to students in the absence of the class teacher.
- Ensure a calm and focused learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support students with their learning when necessary.
- Provide feedback to the regular teacher about the lessons covered.
- Assist with any additional school duties as required.
Requirements for a Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a school setting.
- Confidence in managing a classroom and ensuring student engagement.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to promoting a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Availability for immediate start.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
