RE Teacher

Location: Tower Hamlets

Pay Scale: £165 - £265 per day

Start: ASAP

Contract: Temporary/Long Term, Part- Time

Are you a passionate RE Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire students in a vibrant community? GSL Education London are seeking a dedicated RE Teacher to join a co-educational comprehensive secondary school in Tower Hamlet. This is a fantastic chance to share your love for Religious Education and help students explore diverse beliefs and values.

Job summary:

As an RE Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach Religious Education to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. We are looking for a motivated RE Teacher who can deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage students to think critically and develop their own perspectives.

RE Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality RE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure all students achieve their potential.
  • Create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that respects diversity.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and improve the RE curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and school events.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and foster a positive learning atmosphere.

As an RE Teacher, essential requirements are:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching RE at secondary school level.
  • Strong understanding of the UK RE curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans.
  • A passion for helping students explore and understand different faiths and perspectives.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and respectful learning environment
