Graduate Teaching Assistant Primary
Location: Gateshead
Salary: £75 to £110 per day, depending on experience
Contract type: Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

The Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be an indispensable component in assisting instructors and fostering the development of young learners. To deliver engaging lessons, offer both individual and group help and contribute to the general good classroom environment, this position will entail tight collaboration with teachers. This position involves working closely with children to create a safe, nurturing and structured environment, promoting their well-being and personal development.

GSL Education ‘Newcastle Branch’ are currently working in partnership with an enthusiastic primary school in Gateshead that is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a primary school setting.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a recent graduate with a degree in Education or a related field.
- Be truly invested in working alongside young children and dedicated to supporting their academic growth.
- Possess strong communication and classroom management, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
- Have a methodical, understanding and compassionate approach to helping young students.
- Have flexibility and adaptability to cover various subjects.
- Possess a passion for education and supporting students' learning progress.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
