Responsibilities of a Graduate Teaching Assistant-Primary:

  • Support class teachers in delivering creative and engaging lessons that captivate young learners.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to help students achieve their academic goals according to the school's key stages.
  • Contribute to lesson planning by offering fresh ideas and helping develop effective teaching strategies.
  • Assist with classroom management and create a positive, inclusive environment where all students can thrive.
  • Encourage student participation and help foster a love for learning through extracurricular activities and interactive lessons.

Graduate Teaching Assistant-Primary Job Requirements:

  • A recent degree (preferably in Education, Psychology, or a related field).
  • CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (desirable but not mandatory).
  • Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for supporting primary school students and a desire to make a difference.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
