GSL Education is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor for long-term roles in secondary schools across Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and ready to step into the classroom, managing lessons in the absence of the regular teacher and ensuring students remain focused and engaged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-set lessons across multiple subjects, ensuring students stay on task and adhere to school rules.
- Confidently handle challenging behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Supervise students during lessons and break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Support the school’s ethos and policies, contributing to a positive school culture.
Requirements:
- A high level of spoken English with strong communication skills.
- The ability to manage and defuse challenging behaviour confidently.
- Ideally, educated to degree level, though relevant experience is also welcome.
- A current DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to obtain one.
