Salary: £155-£265 per day

Contract: Long Term/Permanent

GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Maths Teacher to join a fantastic school in Redbridge. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Maths Teacher to engage students with creative and dynamic lessons, helping them develop a love for numbers and problem-solving.

Being a Maths Teacher, you will be at the forefront of shaping students' futures, preparing them with the skills they need to succeed in life. Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and challenging Maths lessons across key stages.
  • Support students' understanding of mathematical concepts, from basic arithmetic to advanced topics.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters confidence and curiosity.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a focused and safe learning space.
  • Provide timely feedback to students and parents on academic progress.
  • Prepare students for exams and ensure they are confident in their abilities.
  • Contribute to the school community through extra-curricular activities related to Maths.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in the Maths curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to enhance cross-curricular learning.
  • Keep accurate records of students' achievements and progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, and a degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Previous experience as a Maths Teacher in a secondary school setting is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Maths curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and innovative lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Familiarity with the UK education system and relevant curriculum standards.
