Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Gateshead
Salary: £75 - £110 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Are you a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for an exciting new opportunity in Gateshead? If so, GSL Education would want to hear from you! GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to support teaching and learning at a fantastic school.
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a key role in supporting both the students and teachers, ensuring a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA):
- Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
- Lead small group interventions.
- Provide one-to-one support for students who need additional help.
- Assist with managing classroom behaviour.
- Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
- Contribute to the assessment and progress tracking of students.
To be a successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you need:
- Previous experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
- HLTA qualification or equivalent.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A passion for helping students succeed academically and personally.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
