Cover Supervisor
Location: Gateshead
Salary: £95 - £120 per day
Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education are seeking a dynamic Cover Supervisor to join our team in Gateshead! As a Cover Supervisor, you will have the chance to work with students across various year groups, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students stay on task
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive atmosphere
- Support students with their learning and answer any questions they may have
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on students' progress and behaviour
- Uphold the school’s policies, including safeguarding and health and safety
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting (desirable)
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different situations
- A passion for education and supporting students' progress
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
