GSL Education are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic school in Grantham. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a student, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential.
About the role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting an individual student with their learning and personal development. Your role will be crucial in fostering a positive learning environment and helping the student overcome challenges.
Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
- Provide individualised support to a specific student with special educational needs.
- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing tailored lesson plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor the student's progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Support the student during breaks and extracurricular activities.
- Help maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.
Requirements of the Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable.
- Teaching assistant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for working with children with special educational needs.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
