Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

Location: Lincoln

Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day

Start Date: October half term

Are you passionate about helping students overcome behavioural challenges and succeed in the classroom? GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a dynamic team at a client school in Lincoln.

Job Summary: As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with behavioural challenges, working closely with teachers and other staff members to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and social development.

Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Assistant:

  • Support students with behavioural needs, helping them to stay focused and engaged in their learning.
  • Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour and implementing behaviour management strategies.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help.
  • Monitor and report on student behaviour, progress, and development.
  • Help to create a safe and supportive environment that encourages positive behavior.
  • Work closely with other professionals, such as SENCOs, to support students’ individual needs.
  • Promote social skills development and encourage positive peer relationships.

Requirements for a Behaviour Support Assistant:

  • Previous experience working as a Behaviour Support Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
  • A good understanding of behaviour management strategies and approaches.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your initiative.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students.
