Graduate Teaching Assistant SEN
Location: Cramlington
Salary: £75 - £110 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Are you a recent graduate with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs? GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant SEN to join a vibrant school in Cramlington. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students, helping them reach their full potential and develop key skills in a supportive environment.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant SEN, you will work closely with the teaching team to provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring they can thrive both academically and personally.
Responsibilities of a Graduate Teaching Assistant SEN:
- Support students with SEN in the classroom, helping them understand and engage with lessons.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to assist students with their individual learning needs.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Assist with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring activities are accessible for all students.
- Encourage student confidence and independence through tailored support.
Requirements for a Graduate Teaching Assistant SEN:
- A passion for working with children and young people with SEN.
- A recent degree in a relevant field.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive attitude and a patient, supportive approach.
- Previous experience working with SEN students is desirable but not essential.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
