If so, GSL Education are partnering with a specialist secondary school in Waterlooville, seeking a compassionate and caring Behaviour Support Assistant to start as soon as possible.

Key Role Highlights ofBehaviour Support Assistant:

  • Behaviour Support Assistant – ASAP start.
  • Full-time permanent opportunity available for the successful candidate.
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 15:30.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Demonstrate motivation, passion, and the ability to emotionally support hard-to-reach children and young people from all walks of life.
  • Location: Waterlooville
  • Salary: £83.33 - £95 per day

 
Responsibilities of aBehaviour Support Assistant:

  • Maintain a calm and purposeful learning environment.
  • Develop strategies that aim to improve pupils' mental well-being where relevant to behavioural concerns.
  • Ensure the calm and purposeful entrance and exit of pupils into/out of the school, including organising line-ups where appropriate and ensuring compliance with the school's uniform policy.
  • Provide support to pupils with moderate learning difficulties (e.g. ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia and dyspraxia)

To be successful Behaviour Support Assistant, the ideal candidate will:

  • Comfortable working in environments with challenging behaviour
  • A passion and desire to work with students who have additional needs
  • Be available 5 days per week
  • Experience in SEMH settings, Youth Work, Police or Army, Sports coaches and mentors

To work with GSL Education as a Behaviour Support Assistant, you should: 
 

  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. 
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
