If so, GSL Education are partnering with a specialist secondary school in Waterlooville, seeking a compassionate and caring Behaviour Support Assistant to start as soon as possible.
Key Role Highlights ofBehaviour Support Assistant:
- Behaviour Support Assistant – ASAP start.
- Full-time permanent opportunity available for the successful candidate.
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 15:30.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Demonstrate motivation, passion, and the ability to emotionally support hard-to-reach children and young people from all walks of life.
- Location: Waterlooville
- Salary: £83.33 - £95 per day
Responsibilities of aBehaviour Support Assistant:
- Maintain a calm and purposeful learning environment.
- Develop strategies that aim to improve pupils' mental well-being where relevant to behavioural concerns.
- Ensure the calm and purposeful entrance and exit of pupils into/out of the school, including organising line-ups where appropriate and ensuring compliance with the school's uniform policy.
- Provide support to pupils with moderate learning difficulties (e.g. ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia and dyspraxia)
To be successful Behaviour Support Assistant, the ideal candidate will:
- Comfortable working in environments with challenging behaviour
- A passion and desire to work with students who have additional needs
- Be available 5 days per week
- Experience in SEMH settings, Youth Work, Police or Army, Sports coaches and mentors
To work with GSL Education as a Behaviour Support Assistant, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
