Cover Supervisor
Location: Cramlington
Salary: £95 - £120 per day
Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education are looking for a passionate Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant school in Cramlington. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference and develop your career in education.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task and follow their lesson plans. This role is ideal for individuals with classroom experience or those seeking to start a career in teaching.
Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise students during lessons in the absence of a teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Ensure students follow the lesson plans provided by the absent teacher.
- Support students with any queries related to the lesson.
- Provide feedback to teachers on student performance and behaviour.
- Uphold school policies and procedures.
To be a successful Cover Supervisor, you need:
- Previous experience working with children or young people.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage groups of students effectively.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to engage with students.
- Flexibility to work across different subjects and year groups.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
