Teacher of French and Spanish
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: November 2024 or January 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time
Salary: MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
GSL Education are looking for a qualified and experienced MFL Teacher to work as Teacher of French with Spanish ata client Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire. The successful candidate will join an established department within the school.
Teacher of French with Spanish Responsibilities:
- Teach French and Spanish to highly motivated Key Stage 3 and GCSE students.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with special needs.
- Encourage students to interact and work in partnership with others.
- Prepare students for exam, including revision and catch-up lessons.
- Monitor student’s progress and give constructive feedback.
- Maintain up-to-date records of students’ achievements, attendance, and behaviour.
- Participate in professional development activities.
Teacher of French with Spanish Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Be able to deliver French and Spanish to GCSE level.
- Previous experience teaching in the last 2 years with references available upon requires. Placements will be accepted for ECTs.
- Proven track record of successful strategies for raising achievement and sharing good practice.
- Have the ability to teach outstanding lessons across the age range and abilities.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.
- Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
