Sports Coach-

  • Location: Manchester
  • Salary: £17000 - £23000 per annum
  • Contract: Full-time
  • Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are seeking to appoint a qualified Sports Coach at an outstanding Secondary School in Manchester. Come and join our dedicated and enthusiastic team in ASAP on a permanent, Full- Time contract.

As a Sports Coach, you will inspire students to achieve their full potential in both physical education and personal development.

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, deliver, and assess a wide range of sports and physical activities for students aged 11-16
  • Lead extracurricular sports clubs and competitions, fostering a positive and inclusive environment
  • Provide personalised coaching to support the physical and emotional development of students
  • Collaborate with PE teachers and other staff to create engaging and dynamic PE lessons
  • Promote healthy lifestyle choices and teamwork among students
  • Manage and maintain sports equipment and facilities
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed during all activities
  • Support school events and initiatives related to physical education and well-being

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field
  • Previous experience working as a sports coach in a school environment
  • A passion for sports and fitness, with the ability to engage and motivate students
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety procedures in sports
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
