Sports Coach-
- Location: Manchester
- Salary: £17000 - £23000 per annum
- Contract: Full-time
- Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education are seeking to appoint a qualified Sports Coach at an outstanding Secondary School in Manchester. Come and join our dedicated and enthusiastic team in ASAP on a permanent, Full- Time contract.
As a Sports Coach, you will inspire students to achieve their full potential in both physical education and personal development.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess a wide range of sports and physical activities for students aged 11-16
- Lead extracurricular sports clubs and competitions, fostering a positive and inclusive environment
- Provide personalised coaching to support the physical and emotional development of students
- Collaborate with PE teachers and other staff to create engaging and dynamic PE lessons
- Promote healthy lifestyle choices and teamwork among students
- Manage and maintain sports equipment and facilities
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed during all activities
- Support school events and initiatives related to physical education and well-being
Requirements:
- A relevant qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field
- Previous experience working as a sports coach in a school environment
- A passion for sports and fitness, with the ability to engage and motivate students
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety procedures in sports
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
