Location: Weymouth, Bournemouth

GSL Education’s Bournemouth branch is seeking University Students to apply for various Flexible Positions in schools throughout Weymouth. This is an excellent chance for students looking to gain practical experience in education while balancing their studies. Roles on offer include Teaching Assistant (TA), Cover Supervisor, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), Exam Invigilator, and Supply Teaching Assistant (Supply TA). Whether you're interested in ad-hoc shifts or a more consistent schedule, we provide flexible working arrangements to suit your needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching Assistant (TA): Assist teachers in the classroom and support students with their learning.
- Cover Supervisor: Oversee classes in the teacher’s absence, ensuring students stay on task.
- Learning Support Assistant (LSA): Provide personalised support to students with additional needs in one-to-one or small group settings.
- Exam Invigilator: Ensure exam sessions run smoothly, following all required guidelines.
- Supply TA: Step in to provide teaching assistant cover as needed on a short-term basis.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working with children or young people is preferred but not essential.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn in different educational environments.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
- A passion for supporting students and helping them succeed.
