Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Salary: £83.33 to £95 per day

Contract: Full-time and Part-time

GSL Education are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a forward-thinking school in Totton.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital support to both teachers and students, helping to create a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere. Whether working with small groups or assisting individual students, you will play a key part in helping them reach their full potential. Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
- Work alongside teachers to create engaging and interactive lessons.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, boosting their confidence and understanding.
- Encourage positive behaviour and nurture a friendly classroom environment.
- Track student progress and provide feedback to teachers to support their development.
- Help supervise students during activities, school trips, and break times.
Requirements of the Teaching Assistant:
- A passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is beneficial but not required.
- Any relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are an advantage but not essential.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
