About the Role:
AS a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate with the staff to support students with ASC and SEMH needs, helping to implement individualised learning plans and providing personalised support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with ASC and SEMH needs.
- Assist in the development and delivery of individualised learning plans and tailored interventions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and external professionals to support student progress and well-being.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and making adjustments to support strategies as needed.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching practices through reflective practice and collaboration.
Requitements:
- A genuine passion for working with students with ASC and SEMH needs.
- Experience in a similar role or relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, SEN qualifications) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the complexities associated with ASC and SEMH, with the ability to adapt strategies to meet individual needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
