ASD Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £75 - £110 per Day
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and caring ASD Teaching Assistant (Primary) to join a fantastic school in Newcastle. Responsibilities:

As an ASD Teaching Assistant (Primary), your main duties will include:

  • Supporting children with ASD in the classroom and during activities
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils with ASD
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Encouraging social interaction and emotional development
  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress

Requirements:

To be successful as an ASD Teaching Assistant (Primary), you should have:

  • Experience working with children, ideally with ASD
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of individual pupils
  • A passion for helping children achieve their potential
  • A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to obtain one).
