Primary Class Teacher – January Start  

Location: Bournemouth

Salary: based on teacher pay scale MPS/UPS

Start Date: January 2025

Hours: Full- time position, Monday to Friday

 

Are you a passionate primary school teacher seeking a new exciting role starting in January 2024?

GSL Education are currently partnering with a local primary school in Bournemouth, to find an experienced teacher to join their EYFS team on a maternity cover basis. The ideal candidate will be motivated, proactive, and adaptable, with a passion for Early Years education and a heart for nurturing young children. This could be the perfect position for you if you have the relevant experience teaching phonics and developing and encouraging pupils with their early learning goals. The role will consist of planning, delivering and assessing lessons, monitoring the progression of the children, and ensuring that the needs of all pupils are met. The position is a fixed-term role starting in January 2025, however this position would help you get your foot in the door ahead of any other teaching positions that may arise.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that cater to the range of learning needs within the class

• Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment, where each child feels valued and supported

• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive and accessible learning environment

• Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to pupils and parents

Requirements:

• Teaching Certification (QTS /PGCE)

• Solid knowledge of the primary curriculum

• Previous experience working in a primary school is essential – this position is not open to ECTs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
