GSL Education are currently working with a friendly secondary school situated near Rowlands Castle. This school is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team working with children who have a range of additional needs.

They are looking for someone who is patient and understanding. A suitable candidate will have experience working with children who have complex learning difficulties and who enjoys creating positive relationships with children.

This special school caters for children who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Many children also have a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, Attachment Disorders, Anxiety and Speech and Language delay.

Job role:

-            Working under the guidance of a teacher supporting small groups of pupils with learning tasks.

-            Supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and communication skills.

-            Fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for children to build safe relationships in. 

-             Safeguarding will be your number one priority ensuring the welfare of the pupils.

-            Working with pupils across KS 2-4.

Job specification:

-            Full time 8:30am – 3:30pm (Mon – Fri)

-            £12.82 - £14.72 p/h

-            Temporary to permanent contract

-            Location: Rowlands Castle

-            Start date: ASAP
