Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant
Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 Per day
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education is currently seeking a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join schools in Lincolnshire that cater to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role involves providing targeted support to students with additional needs, both one-on-one and in small group settings, while working closely with teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with a variety of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
  • Implement personalised learning strategies and interventions to meet individual student requirements.
  • Support the classroom teacher in adapting lessons and resources to suit the needs of SEN students.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional support to help students succeed in an inclusive learning environment.
  • Foster supportive and encouraging relationships with students, staff, and families.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential.
  • Possession of a Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 1/2/3) is desirable but not essential if you have relevant SEN experience.
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS check registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one through the agency.
  • A 10-year career history check and two years of referenceable work history.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
