Learning Support Assistant (Primary)
Location: Colchester
Salary: £83 - £90 per day
Start Date: Immediately
Contract Type: Full time

GSL Education are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (Primary) to join a fantastic primary school in Colchester.

As a Learning Support Assistant (Primary), you will be working closely with both teachers and students, providing the support needed to create a positive and engaging learning environment. If you are enthusiastic, patient, and dedicated to helping children succeed, this role could be perfect for you!

Responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant (Primary):

  • Assist the class teacher in managing the classroom and supporting students.
  • Provide one-to-one support for students who need extra help.
  • Work with small groups of children to boost their learning.
  • Help to create a positive, safe, and engaging learning space.
  • Support children with their learning, helping them reach their individual goals.
  • Encourage students' social and emotional development.

To be a successful Learning Support Assistant (Primary), you should:

  • Previous experience working with children in classroom, ideally in a primary school.
  • A caring and patient nature.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage behaviour in a positive way.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to obtain one).
