GSL Education are currently seeking an autism support worker for a Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) school based in Portsmouth. This is a specialist school caters for children who have difficulty managing social interactions and struggle to regulate their emotions. This school is looking for a proactive person to join their friendly and supportive team.
The ideal candidate for this kind of work:
• Relevant experience working with children who have learning difficulties and complex needs
• Must have a positive and engaging personality
• Can provide 1:1 support for children and support with small group activities
• Able to work in a challenging setting with patience and understanding
• Knowledge of PECS or Makaton would be an advantage
The benefits of working here:
• £76.92 - £95 per day
• Full Time (Term time only) – 8:30am – 3:30pm
• Location: Portsmouth
• Start time: ASAP
To work with GSL Education as an autism support worker or SEMH Teaching Assistant, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
