Teaching Assistant – Lincoln
Full-Time | ASAP Start | SEN Focus
Pay: £85 - £100 per day

GSL Education Lincolnshire is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Lincoln, working specifically with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). This full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting learners with additional needs, contributing to their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to SEN students, helping them access the curriculum and develop key skills in a nurturing environment.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing differentiated lesson plans and personalised learning strategies.
  • Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback and contributing to individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging participation and confidence-building.
  • Work one-on-one or with small groups of students, ensuring they remain focused and engaged.
  • Assist with behaviour management, promoting positive attitudes and social interactions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to create an environment where all students can thrive.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students is highly desirable.
  • A passion for supporting children with additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic school environment.
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills to build rapport with students and staff.
  • Experience with SEN interventions and strategies is an advantage.
  • A proactive approach to managing behaviour and supporting learning.
