SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Hammersmith and Fulham
Salary: £90 to £110 per day (dependent on experience)
GSL Education is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants for special schools in Hammersmith and Fulham. These schools support students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are looking for candidates with prior experience in these settings to help students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and group support for students with SEMH, MLD, and ASC.
- Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Promote positive behaviour and manage challenging situations in a calm and effective manner.
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCo to monitor and support student progress.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working in MLD, ASC, or SEMH settings is preferable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with special needs.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
