Salary: £150 - £230 per day

A co-educational comprehensive secondary school in Lewisham is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Art Teacher to join their vibrant team from 30th September 2024. As an Art Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and innovative lessons, encouraging students to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills. Whether you’re experienced or an ECT, this is a great chance to share your love for art and make a difference in the classroom!
Art Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver exciting and creative art lessons that inspire students of all abilities.
- Develop students' skills in various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Organise and display student artwork for school exhibitions and events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the art department's success.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and safety in the classroom.
Art Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching art at the secondary level, though ECTs are welcome to apply.
- A passion for art and the ability to inspire students with your creativity.
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to student well-being and achievement.
