Teacher of Food( F/T or P/T)

Location: Colchester

Salary: £120 - £240 per day

Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are recruiting a passionate Teacher of Food to join a forward-thinking school in Colchester. As a Teacher of Food, you will be responsible for inspiring students to develop culinary skills and an understanding of nutrition and food science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Teacher of Food, you will plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons that encourage creativity and practical skills.
  • Support students in developing an understanding of nutrition, food safety, and preparation techniques.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning.
  • Contribute to the Food Technology curriculum, ensuring it is dynamic and relevant.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Teacher of Food position will possess:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching Food Technology.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for culinary arts and food science.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
