Position: Primary Teaching Assistant – SEN Specialist

Start: October Start
Contract: Temporary, with the potential to become permanent
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday (8:30 am - 3:00 pm)
Salary Range: £12.82 per hour
Location: Bournemouth

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant – SEN Specialist to join a supportive team in Bournemouth. This position focuses on providing high-quality, tailored support for primary pupils, particularly those with complex special educational needs. Previous experience working with children with challenging additional needs is crucial. This role will include consistently supporting individual pupils both in the classroom and around the school, ensuring tailored provision is effectively implemented throughout the school day.

What we require from an ideal Teaching Assistant:

  • Patient, reliable, and adaptable.
  • Strong team player who collaborates effectively.
  • Proactive in addressing students' needs.
  • Knowledge of the curriculum according to the primary Key stages
  • Experience with 1:1 support or small group setting for children, specially with SEN needs.
  • Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant with SEN expertise in a school setting.

  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
