Teacher of Maths
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Contract: Full Time/Temporary

GSL Education’s North Yorkshire Branch is currently recruiting for a Teacher of Maths to work at a Client Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire on a temporary full-time basis with an immediate star date.This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a strong focus on professional development.

Teacher of Maths Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Maths lessons to a range of abilities across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality teaching and learning opportunities in the classroom.
  • Support the progress of all students studying Mathematics by taking a role in departmental support.
  • Employ interactive teaching methods appropriate to the age and ability of each student.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources that enhance the learning experience.
  • Take part in staff training days, staff meetings and parent’s evenings.

Teacher of Maths Requirements:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Possess a strong background in mathematics or a similar field as a graduate.
  • Have recent experience teaching Maths to an education setting.
  • Has knowledge of the national secondary education system, examinations and curriculum.
  • This role would be ideal for an ECT or an experienced Maths Teacher who would like to work together with a supportive team of coworkers.
  • Hold a Child Only DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
