Position: Teaching Assistant ( TA )
Location: Southampton
Salary Scale: £12.82 - £14.00 per Hour
Contract Type: Full-time

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for students. Your responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one or small group support, and contributing to the overall success of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Teaching Assistant you will collaborate with teachers to support the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed by teachers.
  • As a Teaching Assistant you will assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • As a Teaching Assistant you will foster positive relationships with students and support their social and emotional development.
  • Assist with the implementation of behaviour support strategies.
  • As a Teaching Assistant you will collaborate with colleagues to create an engaging and supportive school community.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to the well-being of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic educational setting.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
