Job description

Are you a teacher looking for flexible supply work within the Bournemouth area?

Are you looking for a permanent part/full-time position but want to experience several local schools first?

Immediate or September Start Available

GSL Education work in partnership with numerous local schools, that need supply teachers to cover on a short and long-term basis! These schools range from Primary, Secondary and SEN, across all of the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area.

Supporting schools with day to day cover is a great way to get your foot in the door at numerous schools, before you decide where you may wish to commit to longer-term. It is also a great way to network, whilst having work-life balance in the meantime, with no planning or marking responsibilities.

As a supply teacher for GSL education, we can offer you:

  • Choice and variety of work – we can find you work at daily supply, long-term and permanent jobs in primary, secondary and special needs schools right across the country.
  • Support for your professional development – through our CPD Academy, GSL education gives you access to a vast range of career-enhancing Continuing Professional Development and training opportunities.
  • The right start to your career - Our ECT pool for Early Career Teachers, and our Future Teachers Programme for graduates, are helping people start their careers in education.
  • Competitive Regular pay – You will receive fortnightly pay with rates based on your skills, experience, flexibility and availability. Our payroll team works hard to ensure your pay is accurate and any queries are dealt with speedily.
  • Safe working practices – We work hard to ensure your reputation is protected and you are kept safe at work.
  • A dedicated Recruitment Consultant – We pride ourselves on good working relationships with all of our candidates. We will be on hand to support you and work with you to secure the work you want.

Any teachers interested in this opportunity are required to;

  • Hold a PGCE or relevant teaching qualification
  • Be confident with behaviour management skills and be able to adapt to different school’s behaviour policies
  • Be prepared to cover a range of subjects and year groups (work is prepared for you in advance)

Whether you are a newly qualified or experienced teacher looking to network in a variety of new schools as a supply teacher, we are able to provide you with regular daily/long term work. Whether you are looking for 1 day a week or full-time, we would like to hear from you.

Although having your own form of transport is desirable, we aim to keep staff as local as possible, so relying on public transport is not a problem. Although some flexibility may be required with bookings, such as early morning phone calls, we are typically operating approximately one week in advance for supply bookings. This means you are able to plan your diary out with ample notice.
